10 inspirational quotes than can improve yourself:

June 10th, 2008

It might take a little coffee or probably a few rounds of beer or any other booze you could get your hands on when it comes to relaxing after a hard day’s work. Well, yeah I’m guilty about that one as well, unless I’m caught dead wearing a lampshade over my head after a few rounds of vodka… half-naked! Okay, bad example and I apologize to everyone reading this after getting nightmares about me in that state of drunken stupor.

Just don’t ask how it happened, please.

But what’s really interesting is that how do people go through the usual part of life when faced with vein-popping stress? I mean, the new age thing like Zen or yoga is one of the good things and it actually works. Is there room for the intellectual side of people who can actually smell the roses-in-a-can while on the move? It kind of had me thinking that there really must be something in this ‘mind-over-matter’ thing.

Humor is indeed the best medicine there is whenever you are. I mean anyone can pay good money to listen to a comedian just to make you wet your pants after laughing so hard. Despite of what’s been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it’s better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision. One of my favorite celebrities of all time may have to be Woody Allen. Now this is one guy who gives you the in-your-face bluntness that he pulls out with gusto, even without even trying. You can talk just about anything with a man, and he’s bound to mock the subject and you’ll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

Woody Allen has this to say:

1. "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." It sounds good to me, I mean the practicality of all things does involve money but it doesn’t have to take an arm and a leg to get it.

2. "I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government." ‘Nuff said.

3. "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?" This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life’s little problems isn’t all that bad, until ‘he’ shows up.

Sure, relationships can get complicated, or does have its complications that probably any author about relationships is bound to discover it soon. We follow what our heart desires, unless you’re talking about the heart as in the heart that pump blood throughout your body.

4. "Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions." And if you want more, just keep on asking!

5. "A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said ‘no’." It sounds, ‘practical’, I think.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn’t involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

6. "Basically my wife was immature. I’d be at home in the bath and she’d come in and sink my boats." I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

7. "I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens." If it rains, it pours.

8. "I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose." It could get worse when you’re guzzling on beer… or mouthwash, and it happened to me once!

9. "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans." At least he doesn’t smite us with lightning, and I’m thankful for that.

And despite of what may happen to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. I can’t seem to imagine life without any piece of wisdom that could guide us. Whether we’re religious or not, it takes more courage to accept your fears and learn how to deal with them is all that matters when it comes to even just getting along.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by… however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. "The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have."

Sad But Unfortunately True

June 9th, 2008

she cried, her arms gripping the air,Her eyes, the embers of agony,She cried. The gasping mouth, sudden silenced,A hand over it-Pressing down! She screamed,Till she felt, lungs burst inside. She hit; she kicked,Bit into the hand,That withheld her freedom!A slap at her face, then another,Till the strength to fight,From her, was drained.Damaged, torn,Beneath the weight,She lay!To chill the spine,Only a shiver of heartache! Then at court, at the stand,No empathy, at her, holds!Only the critical eyes,The media torture-Of a woman who dared exposure,Exposure of truth!Abuse, scorn, trauma,To shame the heartache turns. She is the crucible! Her esteem; no claim,Her life…. her life? They give her no life,Only something like it!Withdraws she,From the court, from hope,Her words, unspoken, unheard,Her pain, unrealized,Reaches out, none!Stigma of a stinking society!Sinking and sunken, she floats,Aimless,No seas hold her,None seeks, none sees,None looks for her!Tell me, why this?Division of gender,Not born of genes,Two sexes out of the wild,One for home, one for hunt,Thus separated duties! They changed,Evolution, the species maker,Made the hunter strong,Strong, so strong,Such basic brutality-He hunts his mate,To devour her,To crucify her,To pluck out her blessing andThrow it amongst garbage!

How to speed Up Computer System

February 8th, 2008

Your computer running Windows isn’t running in the same speed that it used to run when you first used it. It’s slower, crappy, takes a while to start and tests your patience like anything. There are many reasons for this, let’s try fixing up a few things on your slow Windows PC:

Slow Right Click Context Menu

Probably the Windows Right Click menu on your computer is loading slow because too many programs added unwanted entries there. Just download this program called Mmm, install it and then modify your context menu to remove unwanted items to speed it up.

 Slow Send To Menu
If the Send To menu loads slowly, you can type ’sendto’ in the Run Dialog, and remove unwanted items in the Explorer Window that appears. This should add some speed to it.

Slow Defragmentation
The Windows Defragmenter can’t get any slower. You need to have an alternative to the Windows Defragmenter, and Defraggler is just one of the best ones available in the market. It’s free, and works like a charm and can speed up defragmentation manifold.

Will Peta goes to police against Orkut

November 24th, 2007

Sometime Popularity become hurdle for any sucess and create problem for then for any small mistake ,peoples and organisation are searching issues how to cover orkut under laws ,but orkut is orkut and google is google lets see how google tackle community issue as peta want to close that community and google says that all dependent on user ,we are not responsible for that ,peta now goes to police against orkut for that.

Drop them from building tops, run them over with your car - are just some of the ways to kill dogs that Orkut’s canine-hating members suggest while socialising online. Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has now complained to the police.

Peta accused Orkut, the social networking site, of promoting cruelty to animals and has demanded action against it by cyber cells of the government.

Peta has written to the Mumbai police and complained that among topics discussed on Orkut community sites was ‘I hate dogs’

Communicators on the site took part in discussions such as ‘How 2 kill a dog’.

One member of the community suggested killing of puppies ‘by dropping them from a building’ and also admitted to throwing three puppies.

Another admitted, ‘I have killed two by my car after 10-12 hard tries near my place. One was a small puppy on which I dragged my bike.’

In a letter to Mumbai’s joint commissioner of police, copied to the secretary, Department of Information and technology, Government of India and COO, Google, PETA has urged the police to immediately direct the website to block such illegal content.

It has also demanded appropriate action against the members who claim to have committed acts in violation of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Act) 1960.

‘Instances such as these indicate a disturbing trend. People who are violent to animals rarely stop there,’ said Peta India coordinator, campaigns and legal affairs, N.G. Jayasimha.

‘A person who comes home and kicks the dog is probably just warming up.’

‘Studies show that people who abuse their animal companions are likely to abuse their kids,’ the Peta official added.

It Costs Nothing To Smile

November 9th, 2007

Like to be around positive people, people who tend to be happy, who look on the bright side of life. Far too many people walk around in what seems like a depressed state. Come on people, it costs nothing to smile.

I must admit, I used to be one of the ones who walked around in a depressed state. I had many things on my mind, many things I was not happy with, I used to feel so sorry for myself. Even when I write about it now, I laugh about how pathetic I used to be.

Things were about to change however. At the time a new employee joined the company where My Friend worked, his name was Sandeep. Now this may seem cruel but sandeep did not have a lot going for him. I won’t go into details but lets just say I did not feel jealous of his life. I became quite good friends with Sandeep and we would go to lunch together. I would meet him in the canteen at 1pm and would be waiting in my gloomy state of mind for him to arrive. Arrive he certianly did, always with a beaming smile on his face. We would sit down and talk whilst eating our lunch and he never had a negative word to say. When he talked, he talked with passion, about sports and films. One day it dawned on me, if Sandeep(who from what I know of him, seemingly has nothing) can always be positive, happy and smiling, why can’t I?

This was the beginning of a new era in my life. An era of being positive, appreciating what I have got and more than anything else, plenty of smiles.
