Still a long way to travel

 Still

Still a long way to travel

 A cool breeze

caressed me and said

night has arrived

I smoothly wiped out the dust

which invaded the car

Checked the tyres

brake, accelerator

and carburetor

before embarking upon

the long journey

Pilgrimage is always sacred

with rememberance of god

giving alms to beggars

experiencing the glory

in front of full lit lamps

chanting of shlokas

and praying for self and others

to extend the life tag

I looked at the wide blue sky

it smiled at me magnificently

and reassured the contentment

The endangering silence

the humming of a lone bird

the simmering of hungry dog

all seamlessly carried me

to an amazing world

I began to think about

the mystery

which made me feel

that I am just a kid

The journey

to the platues of pain, sorrow and

disappointments are

just a beginning

Still a long way to travel

oh my why so melancholic? No it is not always the journey of pain. Just look around an oasis is visible, only we are too shortsighted not to look at the right way. Would a mariner’s compass help this way farer?

Thinking of future can sometimes worry us. No matter how long and tiring our path could be but the fact is that we have to walk through it.
