Rain still falls

Rain still falls

The rain still falls

in subtle rythm

Looking through the glass window

I always wonder

how each and every moment

becomes memorable

with serene beauty

Do you remember the beauty

of those nights

quivering with twinkling stars?

One of those irredeemable nights

a flowered door slid open

in front of us

where love has crowned us

Vivid with love

we were united and

eager to live together

Ages passed!

Sorrows bloated our minds

How soon we fell part

to surrender the fate

I still carry your love

under the burden

of my solitude

In dreams

it touches my soul

In thoughts

it emerges as imagination

I always wanted

to return to the times

where we embraced eternity

and realised that

you are the rarest soul

Incredibly

the sea still remains blue

and unchanged

The sky always looks down

through the eyes of stars

and the rain still falls

with subtle rythm

    Then we parted
    And the parting
    Was imparted
    To a world that departed
Little bothered as it bothered ’bout us,
Little did we know ourselves apart
    Alas, we weren’t aware
    That we were a part
    Of one soul atlast!

Your conviction and lucidity in the expression is your forte . I love it. “I still carry your love

    under the burden

of my solitude” these lines are wonderfully juxtaposed. There is integrity in the theme and no loose ends. thanks for sharing such a piece.

Nostalgic journey …down the memory lane. From starting lives as newly weds with hope shining bright …….till date. One does get busy with other things as life carries on, some moments unconciously merge into the background. But it is never too late to pick up the threads and start again :) !! Some things never seem to change, as life goes on almost never following the same path. grt grt poem Vijay, pure pleasure to read and absorb. tc.smile. :)

This thought is always helping us to move forward but to keep the past alive and the dream that we have sown and the pain we have within us to be our torch bearer of past to enlighten our future….
    loved the poem.,,,

True, it wd be difficult to forgive. I too echo similar thoughts.

The concept of marriage has undergone a change, especially in urban areas. The younger generation is impatient and does not really want to compromise. Divorces are happening over trivial issues. Living in is getting quite common. The western culture is here to stay. Feel it is the woman who is at a disadvantage in such relationships in our male dominated society. Thanx for ur words.
