NEW DELHI: The special cell of Delhi police has arrested two person allegedly involved in human trafficking where they claimed themselves to be filmmakers from Mumbai. The two identified as Irshad Hamid (30) and Bikram Kesari Sahu (32) were arrested from Nehru Place on Friday after they were wanted by Mumbai police. One of the accused Irshad Ahmed is said to be a co-producer. He was very close to bigwigs of the Indian film industry. He further cheated people by taking huge sum of money by promising them to send abroad. He also claimed that he was going to shoot a movie in Europe and America and can even arrange visas for them. He had cheated many persons in Mumbai and Delhi, police added. "The two have been arrested for possessing forged documents pertaining to film shooting in Italy. On the basis of these documents, they lured people who aspired to go to Europe and Italy in getting them visas against huge sum of money," said DCP (Special Cell) Alok Kumar. The gang was first stated by Hamid, and Sahu joined him later. They also tampered passports of people having rejected stamps and on the basis of film shooting in Italy applied for visa. Each and every person from whom the money was collected was assigned a role accordingly such as cameraman, assistant producers, spot boys and other unit members. The Italian embassy discovered tampered passport and reported the matter to crime branch in Mumbai after which the cops informed the Delhi police and the two were apprehended.
