Killer of the Game

January 7th, 2008

Iam entering this post after great frustration. Any Indian cricket lover will definitely agree with me.

Mr.Benson and Mr.Bucknor have proved that their ultimate aim of being an umpire is to serve Australia and not CRICKET.

So many errors on a sigle test match which has proved costly for india and has helped Austalia to rewrite their records.

When the players are bound by a code of conduct, why not something for the umpires?

Why not cut a part of their salary for a wrong decision?

Why not consult the third umpire when there is a dubious situation?

EVEN THE THIRD UMPIRE WITH SO MUCH TECHNOLOGY AT HIS FINGERTIP MAKE SILLY ERRORS WHICH WERE CLEARLY VISIBLE AT SCG.

A nation who has a passion for the game and one of the richest cricket boards, BCCI has to protest and try to bring about a change and the umpires must be made accountable for such careless decisions.

All the best India

September 13th, 2007

It is the time for the young Indian team to prove themselves.

Keep aside the bitter memories of the ODI world cup earlier in WestIndies.

The young team has lots of talents with Dhoni and Yuvaraj to guide the young players.

Also it must be a comeback series for Sehwag and Irfan pathan.

Let us pray God to guide our players and take them to great heights.

Flying start to twenty twenty

September 12th, 2007

The inaugural 20/20  world cup match has started with a bang. Great show by Gayle of westindies.

He has created records and has become the first batsman to hit a century in the 20/20 championship.

SouthAfrica once again proved their supremacy and they had shown their style of winning matches, though they generally are not good finishers.

Let us see what our boys do later in the tournament.

Killing TV serials

August 28th, 2007

The serials aired on all Indian channels need to be mentioned.

Whichever be the language and whatever be the social status, the women invariably cry or make others cry. They portray the Indian women as cunning folk who has no other work other than that of confusing and creating problems among families and family members.

Women almost have come out of that web some 15 years ago. We see women scaling great heights.

Why not serials about women like,

kiran Bedi, Madurai Chellathai, self help groups who have attained economic freedom, women who have helped themsleves and others during tsunami, earthquake etc.,

Just change the colour of your serials dear producers, You too will attain great heights.

Festivals and Rituals

August 28th, 2007

Right from the beginning of august we have festivals queing to visit our homes. All our festivals have one bottom tag that to celebrate them happily and before enjoyment, feed the poor and the needy.

All religions unerline the need to help those who are in need of it.

It is ofcourse our duty to pass this secret to our kids who should also understand our rituals.

Kapildev’s expulsion as chairman of NCA

August 22nd, 2007

It is not new for our great Kapil to face threats and challenges.

BCCI not knowing how to react to the formation of ICL doing all stupid things, thereby  ultimately popularising the ICL.

Great people cannot be sidelined and Kapil always fight back like a phoenix and goes to top.

But one aspect has to be accepted is that players need money,as money would help the players to fully concentrate and  bring out the real talent,as the cost of cricket equipments have gone skyrocketing, money factor has to  be taken as primary for the performance of players.

If their basic need is satisfied the players are sure to perform and deliver the best.
