Me the Idol

The devilish mind beckons. What else do I wish for? A day that had to be celebrated with the Creator and the Mother is long over. I am yet to see the Creator, and my mom left me seven years back. I will never see her again.

So, I fall back for my other instinct of life – you all know what an idle mind is famous for!!

I was always shown role-models, but never aspired to be one. None ever asked anyone to follow me in life.

Devils don’t have followers, they have believers. That’s what I think.

Idolizing is good for gods and god-like mentors, godfathers and guides. Ever heard of a devil idol? Well then, here’s someone who wishes to be one.

My profile is up here since the last eighteen months. And most know how tricky I am. And how messy, and chaotic my feelings are. I am in the running for the champion of champions … as a devil of course. And the contest in question is – ibibo idol.

Do praise me for my efforts to idolize the dark, dingy and discreet dimensions of life. At least try to … for once, else your life may well not see the light of its own!

Me

I am in Love

That I always was! Even if none cares, isn’t my fault anyways. The earliest this happened, I was in eighth grade. Now you may frown, and yes, I was ripe enough to caress my romantic feelings.

And this lady teacher was a good looking lady in her early twenties. Beware, she wasn’t married either. A perfect partner fit for this passionate purpose.

Perhaps just the spark was missing.

Do romantics need a spark? It is always there, and will be there. As long as this body and soul have life, can love be far behind?

This lady teacher came to become the class-teacher of first grade. I felt proud, not because she was the youngest teacher in the school, but it was something else. I counted the age difference between us … it was well less than ten.

I said, Wow!!

To this day, I remember the way I made it to watch her taking a class. In fact, this idle mind was the smartest student in her general knowledge class. Most important, she praised me a lot. Not for my looks, but the attention that I gave to my studies in her class.

You could be in my school those days … and find me helping her in managing her class after hours.

Very soon, I was seen walking back from school with her … deep in discussions. In other times, may be, presenting her with a self-made painting or a craft work that she admired. Straight from heart!

She was present whenever I participated in any sports or cultural event. A sure source of motivation, a pat on my back was what I least expected. But she always obliged.

The touch felt so sweet … something I never experienced since.

I left my school after the ninth grade … and no wonder a few months later I was informed that she has decided to … go the family way. Yes, she got married after I left the school.

Though she never invited me for her wedding, yet a letter came from her just after she reached her in-laws in Jaipur. The content was very touching and personal, dare I say that!

To this day, I cherish this relation. Now, you call this a simple ‘crush’?

Oh God, forgive them for they know not what they say!

If you have reached till this line (by mistake), do not hesitate to rate me here.

  14. Me the Idol Says:

  16. Me the Idol Says:

why is it so that in school the first attraction for most boys is their teacher…..? there are girls tooo in the class…. only boys ccan give the explanation for this….he heee…
    i liked the intro…

  17. Me the Idol Says:

Only proves again that boys are basically naive! And they never grow up! As for idolising devils if the brand is like the one we know in ibibo- a mind calling itself idle when it is the opposite- we shall happily do!

  18. Me the Idol Says:

haha..god forgive me, but it is a lovey-crush…ok? still, can’t be easily forgotten for sure…and from idle to idol, easiest transformation, just change & interchange a letter!! So you have a good chance..

  19. Me the Idol Says:

First crush, First love, First touch and all the fabulous sensations elicited - perfectly penned down. And Hero!! that’s a fantastic snap or ’still’ i wud say.

  20. Me the Idol Says:

You are already my Ibibo Idol. This is out and out a romantic post. All school love stories (Crush) ends like this only, I had my first crush when I was in grade II, and started writing my name as loveramesh and still practicing the same. Some experiences

  21. Me the Idol Says:

This is in true Idle style of course!!!

  22. Me the Idol Says:

Strange that female teachers are incidentally the first crush of many young adolescent students. While you excelled in her class I used to put on the weak student act to get attention!! I will definitely idolise this devilish act!!

  23. Me the Idol Says:

i think women are more complex than men but you confuse me….or is it just our perception… all are living beings with different thoughts…

  24. Says:

A gr8 style u got! :) i admire that! Nice write up about the 1st crush! :) and all those hardwork to be frds with her to get her attention! wonderfully descripted! :) its not a crush!a beautiful unnamed relation! :) will rate u in mridul’s..

  25. Me the Idol Says:

Thanx Idle , for the generous words. Like your "positive spirit (advise on not to use the word hopeless :) ) . But the fact remains, one is said to "fall" "hopelessly " in love, maybe because it has the ability to hurt ? Like any

  26. Me the Idol Says:

ODDBHOOT! idle mind er pokk-khei sombhov! loved it!

  27. Says:

woww… memories of school r really sugar coated….
    luvd it..!!

  28. Me the Idol Says:

Sounds much more romantic and poetic to rise than to fall in love, but I doubt we can change the idiom. Time to revise our dictionaries , i guess. Irritants have posed as a greater threat because of the attention and importance given to them.Ignoring and

  38. Me the Idol Says:

    Happy..Rakshabhandan to u…….

  39. Me the Idol Says:

Given my semi-dissociation with ibibo, I have no idea what an ‘ibibo idol’ is. But that is immaterial. What’s important, at least in the first part of this post, is the photograph. I am afraid I don’t see the slightest trace of Milton’s banished archangel

  40. Me the Idol Says:

Wrong friend, wrong, wrong, wrong! I didn’t fall for "a" classmate. I fell for millions of classmates and they all kicked me in the a**!! Boy, was that painful! No wonder I often resemble a cat hit by a half-brick and waiting for another. (This

  41. Me the Idol Says:

Sir, I had been away and missed the Ibibo Idol bit. But, why deny it ? If there is anybody suitable for it he/she cannot be more suitable than you.You are here, there, everywhere at the Ibibo pages.I just logged on to your pages when I saw your comment at Y

  42. Me the Idol Says:

    To my surprise
i now(after reading ur post) realise that love i of a higher level than wanting and looking for.
i always believed that separate destiniesy can not have a pleasant end
but to the contradiry your example clearly proves that the joy of falling can be all one needs rather than craving for eternal bond.
I also appreciate you for potraying the innocent mind of a pre teen
    (which is rare these days)
i will be seeking a reply from you
