Love & Betrayal - Part I

June 23rd, 2008 | by R A M E S H

The story is based on true incident, which happened with one of my friend. The name and place mentioned here are fictitious because I don’t want to disclose the real identity and don’t want to hurt the feeling. Hope you can understand it.

Tring-Tring, The telephone started ringing harshly in the silent room. Mr. Anand feared of picking the phone up. After ringing much, Mrs. Anand forced him to pick the phone up. “Hello, papa it’s me Swati.” Mr. Anand stunned to hear his daughter’s voice after 12 days. Where are you? He questioned with anger. “Papa, please don’t ask anything and just help me out” Swati was begging.  “I am in New Delhi and have no money left with me. I am in Hotel Diamond. Please come and take me home. I am very sorry for all that I have done.” She was still begging in front of her father. “Okay, give the address and we will reach there by evening.” Mr. Anand assured her. After putting the phone down he told his wife that it was Swati and she is in New Delhi. Mr. Anand booked his returned Air Ticket over the phone and left for New Delhi.

Swati is in final year of her post graduation. While in the college she fell in love with a guy, namely Ajit. She is intelligent and very sober in personality. When her family came to know all about this affair, they got very angry with Swati and warn her not to meet this guy again in future.

One day around 8 o’clock in the evening, when Mr. Anand was still in his office, got a call. It was his wife on the other side. “Swati is not yet returned from her college. I inquired everywhere, with all her friends I know. Nobody knows about her. When I called her friend Rachna, she said that Swati hasn’t come to college at all. She left for college at 6.30 in the morning and God knows where she is? Please do something, at least go to police and complain a FIR for the same. Finally thinking over society and family reputation, Mr. Anand decided not to involve police. Angrily and helplessly they searched her for 12 days and finally they got the call from Swati herself.

Mr. Anand reached the hotel around 4.00 P. M. and move towards room No. 17. Swati opened the door and start crying. Anand told her to stop all this drama and took her along with after paying hotel bills. The first thing after reaching home, Mr. Anand deed was horrible. He started releasing his anger by beating her badly with wooden thick stick. He scolds her and kept beating for half an hour.

After some time, he cooled himself and moved to Swati. He started asking that where she was? With whom she was? Swati described her run away was like this.
